  西岛又名玳瑁岛，位于三亚湾国家自然保护区内，全岛面积2.8平方公里，坐艇约20分钟的路程。

Sanya West Island is also known as Hawksbill Island, is located in Sanya Bay National Nature Reserve. The whole island covers an area of 2.8
square kilometers and takes about 20 minutes to reach it by boat.

  西岛属热带边缘性海洋季风气候，年平均气温为25.4°C，最低气温高于20°C，全年阳光充足，长夏无冬，秋春相连。

West Island has a tropical marginal marine monsoon climate, with an annual average temperature of 25.4 °C and a minimum temperature over 20 °C. It has plenty of sunshine throughout the year, longsummer without winter and linked together with autumn and spring.

  西岛的地形地貌大致分为南中北三部分，南高北低，北部为平沙地，由珊瑚、贝壳、砂粒组成，地势低平；中部为草林坡地，为渔村所在地；南部为突兀峻峭的丘陵，由花岗岩构成，最大标高为122.5米。
